Win prizes in our picture competition

Prizes totalling £100 are up for grabs by Doncaster primary school children in a competition launched by Doncaster Children’s Services Trust this week.

Every child is invited to draw or paint a picture showing what they want to be when they grow up. Then, they simply need to send in their pictures by 25 June and judges will select 10 lucky winners.

Each winner will receive a £10 book token and their artwork could be selected for display at Doncaster Children’s Services Trust venues across Doncaster.

Trust kicks off bid to raise money for Hospice

Employees at Doncaster Children’s Service Trust have chosen Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice as their charity of the year for 2015/16.

The Trust, which provides support to children, young people and families living in Doncaster, wanted to also help raise money for charities that help to support the local community too.   

Doncaster Children’s Service Trust Chief Executive Paul Moffat said: “We are really proud to be supporting such a worthy cause that helps so many families from our area, at a time when they need it the most.

Experts will be helping to raise awareness of how to spot the signs and report concerns about child sexual exploitation (CSE) when they speak to people at St. Leger Homes’ Community Fun Day next week.

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust CSE team will be at the event taking place at Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday 26 May, 10am to 4pm.

Trust scoops second place at business awards

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust scooped second place among major business sector entries at a national awards event this month for its work in analysing and supporting the skills development of its workforce.

The Association of Business Psychologists Workforce Experience Awards held at the Oval cricket ground, London, showcased the best in business psychology across a wide range of major business sectors. Award nominees included giants such as IBM, British and American Tobacco, Boots UK, Capita Health Partners, PwC and GlaxoSmithKline.
