Fun in the sun in Conisbrough

The EPIC team hit the right note when they attended the Consibrough Music Festival at the weekend.

Their mobile team -Team Around The Street - delivered free zorbing sessions to local young people as a way of raising the profile of their work in the area, as well as ensuring there was lots of fun to be had.

The sky's the limit for young people in Stainforth

Team members from youth crime prevention programme, EPIC (Encouraging Potential, Inspiring Change) have been awarded after joining forces with a top sports star to successfully deliver a motivational programme to young people in Stainforth.

Chris Lambert and EPIC’s Team Around the Street team were involved in the Sky Sports programme, delivered in collaboration with the Youth Sport Trust and alongside South Yorkshire Police’s Operation Anticipate – which involved them working with one of Sky Sports Mentors, rugby league player Paul Broadbent.

At any one time there are around 20 children in Doncaster who cannot be brought up with their birth family; could you provide them a loving and stable home?

If you could open your heart and provide a permanent home for a Doncaster child you are invited to find out more by calling at an adoption drop-in information event next week.

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust, is to host the event at The Dome, on Monday 17 July, between 5pm and 8pm.

An EPIC Day for young people at the castle

Archery and fencing will be among activities on offer when Doncaster’s youth crime prevention service, delivered by Doncaster Children’s Services Trust, hosts a free summer holiday event at Conisbrough Castle for children and teenagers. 

The event, for those aged between 11 and 17, will take place on Monday 7 August from 11am – 3pm and is part of the EPIC (Encouraging Potential, Inspiring Change) summer activities programme.
