Trusted Mentor team on hand at Doncaster Pride

Doncaster Child Exploitation team and the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust newly-established Trusted Mentor Team will be on hand at Doncaster Pride later this month, to show their support to the LGBT community and to spread their messages.

The role of the multi-agency Child Exploitation team, involving members of the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust, RDaSH (Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust) and the Police, is to raise awareness of child exploitation among the borough’s adults and children and to advise them on how to prevent and report it.

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust Adoption team will be hosting a drop-in event at Doncaster Dome on Monday 9 September.

The team will be at the Dome from 5pm to 8pm to answer all your questions about becoming an adoptive parent.

Speaking about the need for adoptive parents to get in touch Adoption Team Manager Claire Holmes said: “At any one time in Doncaster there are around 20 children who cannot be brought up by their birth parents and who need a loving and stable family home.

“Thanks you so much for working with us and helping us as a family. You are a top social worker and it has been a pleasure working with you.”
