Calls for more foster carers in Bessacarr for Doncaster children
Doncaster Children’s Services Trust’s fostering team is on the lookout for prospective foster carers to care for Doncaster children.
The Trust’s fostering team will be at St Francis Church hall on Thursday 24 November from 3.30pm to 7pm to answer all your questions about becoming a foster carer.
The relaxed and informal drop-in event provides you with a chance to chat with members of our fostering team as well as some of our foster carers about what it is like to foster. You’ll get to find out about the 24/7 support offered by the Trust’s team of professionals, the ongoing training and the generous allowance, and most importantly the difference you can make to the life of a young person.
Sue May, Head of Looked after Children at DCST said, “We are looking for more foster carers for local Doncaster children. If you are up for a new challenge and can provide a young person with a stable, happy and loving home we would like to meet you on the 24th in Bessacarr.”
Sue added, “We offer great financial rewards and around the clock support from our local fostering professionals.”
You don’t need qualifications to be a foster carer, you just need to be over 21, have a spare room in your home. And most importantly have the energy, patience and commitment to take a real interest in the life of a Doncaster child.
Change a life, foster. For more information about fostering with Doncaster Children’s Services Trust call the local fostering team free on 0808 129 2600 or visit www.fosteringdoncaster.org
