Doncaster Children’s Trust first virtual event for social worker
This March, Doncaster Children’s Services Trust is hosting the first in a series of open events to give fellow social workers the opportunity to find out more about what it is like working in the borough.
Participants joining the online event will have the opportunity to find out more about what the job entails first-hand from the teams they could be working with. As well as hearing from Senior Leads who will be on hand to talk in more depth about the Trust performance, the culture, and the benefits as well as addressing the work carried out by its keyworkers even in the face of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges for the future.
Speaking ahead of the day, Emma, a Children’s Service Manager said:
“Doncaster is a great place to work, everyone is happy to help each other and you will feel at home from day one. We have a fantastic support network both within the Trust and through our partnership working. On top of this we also have the added luxury of our Young Advisors who provide their unique and lived experience to support us in advising how our services can improve.
“This virtual event is a great opportunity for social workers to come along and meet some of our friendly team members from the Trust and have a chat from the comfort of their own home. We will be available for you to get to know more about us as we answer any questions you might have around making a difference to children’s and families lives in Doncaster.”
Embracing technology, the event will take place on Tuesday 2 March, 7pm to 8pm. Attendees do not need specialist software installed to join the event, all they will need is access to a computer and to the internet.
