Make your life complete by adopting

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust adoption team has been thanked by a family about to welcome a child into their home “for making our family complete”.

Rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, we will be hosting a drop-in information event at The Dome on Monday 8 July between 5pm and 8pm for those interested in opening their home and their heart to provide a Doncaster child with a permanent family.

The adoption team and a number of adoptive parents will be on hand to answer all your questions; to explain the adoption process and the benefits of adopting through the Trust. This includes support throughout the adoption process and after your child has been adopted by you.

Other comments from those who have used the Trust include: “The initial visit was great; the workers that visited us put me and my husband at ease and made the start of the process very enjoyable and smooth.”

“We’re so lucky and couldn’t have done it without you.”

From a young person receiving post adoption support – “I would like to say thank you. You have always been there for me when I have needed someone to talk to and to support me.”

Claire Holmes, manager of the Trust adoption team said: “Just as our children come from different backgrounds so do our adopters who come from all occupations and circumstances. Including those who are single, unemployed and of whatever sexual orientation. Nor do you have to come from Doncaster.”

“Excellent team work taken place between YOS/16+; it has shown that when we work together it can definitely help our young people and make the difference.”
