Thinking about adoption? Meet the experts this Big Adoption Day

In the run up to Big Adoption Day 2018 Doncaster Children’s Services Trust will be holding a special drop in event at Doncaster Dome on Monday 19 March.

The Trust’s Adoption team will be at the Dome from 5pm – 8pm, and will be ready and willing to answer all of your questions about becoming an adoptive parent.

Speaking about the need for adoptive parents to get in touch, adoption team manager Melanie Johnson said: “At any one time in Doncaster there are around 20 children who cannot be brought up with their birth parents and who need a loving and stable home.”

“Adopting is a truly life changing decision; something that can bring great joy and richness to life. Adopting is a journey that we at the Trust feel honoured to be able to take potential adoptive parents on, we offer support, a shoulder to lean on and listening ear.”

As well as being able to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the adoption process potential adopters will also have an opportunity to find out more about the support services offered by Doncaster Children’s Services Trust.

Finally, Mel added: “If you are thinking about opening your home and heart to a child, drop in at the event or give our friendly team a call to chat to them about how you could make a difference.”

For further information on adopting in Doncaster attend the drop in event on Monday 19 March, 5pm – 8pm at Doncaster Dome, Bawtry Road, Doncaster, DN4 7PD, call the team on 0345 112 0012 or visit
